False Lashes | Eylure & Ardell

I’d still describe myself as a bit of a newbie when it comes to false lashes as I’ve only worn a few pairs in my life, but they’re something I’d like to get better at applying and wearing as they make such a difference to my natural lashes which are thin, straight and fairly hard to see unless they’re coated in mascara. I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of pairs of lashes from falseeyelashes.co.uk, and they’ve given me the perfect opportunity to get practicing!

Lashes L-R: Ardell Demi Wispies, Vegas Nay by Eylure Classic Charm

My first choice, the Ardell Demi Wispies*, were a no brainer as they have to be one of the talked about lashes in the blogging world. I liked the tapered look of the lashes as I thought they would add lots of lovely volume to my lashes, and they certainly did! They were easy enough to apply with the duo glue provided, and you can see from the photo above that they would be great for both everyday wear and nights out – depending on how full you like your lashes to look.

The second pair I decided to try were the Vegas Nay Lashes by Eylure in Classic Charm* as they looked natural, but were lashes that would definitely add a lot of length and definition to my own lashes. I was so surprised to find that these were my favourite of the two as they really accentuated my eyes and turned out to be the perfect size too. I find that most false lashes are too big for my eyes and need to be cut, but these ones could be applied straight away which was a massive bonus!

I’ll admit that I’m still getting to grips with false lashes, but these two pairs have definitely helped me feel more comfortable both applying and wearing false lashes. I might not reach for them on an everyday basis, but I can see myself taking a bit more time to apply lashes on special nights out as they give me that added bit of confidence. Are you a fan of false lashes?

  • I seem to have a love hate relationship with false lashes – I’ll buy a pair when I’m planning a night out, apply them then rip them off and restart my make-up because I’m worried they’ll start coming away from the lid during the night, and I can’t be dealing with drunkedly reappliy-ing, haha!! The wispies look soo gorg though. xxx

I’m a big fan of false lashes – my favorite are Fleur De Force’s line with Eyelure – but it’s a complicated relationship. I need them because my eyelashes are sparse, short, and won’t hold a curl, but about %90 of the time, putting them on is a pain that ruins my makeup and ultimately takes close to an hour to achieve. Not kidding, it’s horrible. I still try them.
